Recently, I chose to make the biggest investment I have ever made in myself, to be HERE, in Bali. I'm not talking only money, although that is a big AND important part of it. It's also a huge investment of time. Time away from my family, and time away from my 2nd family - my team and my clients. Oh, and not to mention what seemed like countless hours on airplanes - a total of 23 1/2 hours flying time plus about 8 hours of layover. There's also an investment of physical and mental energy. Adjusting to the time difference, the culture (do you have ANY idea about how they drive here?!?), the weather, and jet lag all take an adjustment. And last not but not least, the emotional investment - which quite honestly may be the biggest, most significant, most powerful investment of all (more to come on that!).
I am looking forward to bringing you along on my trip to Bali and sharing life lessons that come when we make BIG investments in ourselves.
Investing time, money, physical, mental, and emotional energy in yourself is like telling the Universe you are ready to show up as your best self, ready to embrace your purpose, ready to let go of the excuses that have kept you stuck in your relationships, stuck in your health, stuck in your finances, maybe even stuck in your past. It is the way you prove to yourself that fear, worry, and doubt no longer have a hold on you; instead, they are what propel you FORWARD! It is the way to begin being free from anything painful in your past that has been holding you back from seeing yourself and what amazing things YOU have to offer. It is the way you let go of any circumstance, experience, or person in your past or in the present that has defined you. It is how you begin your powerful journey of stepping into who God created you to be, and bringing your unique gifts and talents into the world to shine on everyone and everything around you.
Do you need to fly off to Bali right away to make a powerful investment in yourself today? NO! You simply begin by being kind to yourself. Pay attention to and take good care of your body, mind, and spirit. You start by making the effort and taking the TIME to do that EVERY SINGLE DAY.
WHY is this SO IMPORTANT? Here's what I think: it is important because you have people depending on you to show up in your very best way - people you love and nurture; people who need your forgiveness, patience, and encouragement; people you mentor in your community, church, or work; people who are lost and looking for light and healing. That is why investing time to take care of yourself physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually is not only IMPORTANT, it's CRUCIAL.
What investment will you make in yourself today?
