It's time to wake up and embrace love

It's time to wake up and embrace love

A close friend of mine reminded me that this time of year, the fall, is symbolic of transformation.  It is a time that we can let go of the old and make room for the new.

Transformation is the process of waking up to what it's time to let go of and what it's time to make more room for.

The number one emotion that keeps people from really being their best is anger.  It's time to let go of anger.  Did you know that the emotion behind anger is always fear?  The next time you get angry, stop and take a step back (this is a HUGE move in waking up), and then ask yourself - what am I afraid of?

Are you afraid of what someone's words or actions mean about you?  Are you afraid of not being seen or heard?  Are you afraid of being left behind?  Are you afraid of not having enough?  Are you afraid of not being enough?  Are you afraid of the consequences of your words or actions?  Are you afraid of failure or success?   Are you afraid of your past, or afraid of your future?  Are you afraid things will never change or get any better?  These fears are real, but these fears do not have to stay with you and affect your life, your relationships, or your happiness.

Take the time and wake up to the truth behind your anger and frustration.

It's time to forgive yourself and others and truly make amends.  It's time to let go of the pain of the past, and replace it with the healing effects of love and light.

It's time to stop judging others and pay attention to our own self-development and personal growth.  It's time to stop focusing on the negative and to give up the excuses and victim stories.  It’s time to make room for hopes, dreams, and the energy and inspiration to create them and live them.

Every day you have a choice.  Every day you get a new chance to practice showing up. You can practice being loving, compassionate, forgiving and inspiring.  When you mess up, take a breath and let it go - just like an old, worn out leaf falls from a tree in the fall.  Just breathe and let it go.

You know what happens when the leaves fall...they are making room for the new beginning of beautiful spring.  Nature is always transforming, and we can follow its divine example. Let go of the old to make room for beauty - it's part of the circle of life.  It is powerful, spiritual, hopeful and inspiring.

What are you willing to let go of and make room for?

Let go.  Wake up.  Embrace love.
